Pitt-Johnstown was one of 222 institutions recommended in the “Best in the Northeast” section of its PrincetonReview.com feature “2013 Best Colleges: Region by Region.”
The 633 colleges nationwide named “regional best” constitute about 25 percent of the country’s 2,500 four-year colleges.
UPJ links students and entrepreneurs
Building upon JARI’s network of entrepreneurs and Pitt-Johnstown’s commitment to getting students ready for the real world, the RealWorld Link will provide students with the skills and experience necessary to take identifiable and concrete steps toward achieving their entrepreneurial aspirations, including the creation of a business, commercialization of an invention or some other entrepreneurial activity.
The key components of the program are: job shadowing; mentorship; fostering of creativity; resource awareness; collaboration; business incubation, and showcasing of ideas.
The RealWorld Link will be coordinated through UPJ’s Office of Career Services.
