This annual award recognizes staff members who demonstrate a commitment to the campus above and beyond their job responsibilities, and who have compiled a record of voluntary service to the Pitt-Johnstown community.
In presenting the award, campus President Jem Spectar said, “Keenly committed to our students, Ms. Lenio is known across the campus for the sincerity and warmth with which she welcomes everyone who enters the Personal Counseling Center. Her nurturing style and compassionate attitude reassure the students and contribute significantly to the success of the Personal Counseling Center.”
Lenio, who joined UPJ in 1998, is an member of the Pitt-Johnstown Staff Activities and Concerns Association and raised nearly $500 as the team captain for the Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure Campaign.
She also is involved with the annual Trick or Treat for Pitt-Johnstown students, freshman move-in day, commencement and the staff picnic on the campus mall.
Lenio was recognized at the annual staff luncheon held Dec. 16 where she was presented with an engraved mantel clock.
